"From our fields to your table". That's always been the concept here at Campbell's Farm. Now, we're not only growing the produce you buy to create meals, we're creating gourmet meals for you, here at the farm! The Garden Bistro is exclusively an outdoor, seasonal restaurant, because the Bistro Chef, owner/operator Lana Campbell, creates the restaurant’s dishes using the farm’s own produce, as well as locally grown fruits and market fresh fish and Grade A meats.
Each month features a different menu incorporating fresh ingredients which are in season during that particular period of time. For example, Chef Lana’s signature Curried Squash Blossoms Frittata Appetizer in June or her Chilled Strawberry Soup in May. Such specialty menu items have limited availability and of course can only be found at the Garden Bistro because garden fresh ingredients are the key to creating these savory, memorable dishes.
Guests shouldn't expect a traditional restaurant dining experience. The atmosphere is casual, outdoor, patio dining in a garden-style setting. Since the restaurant is located on a working farm, the ambiance is rural Missouri, with old oaks and quaint farm buildings and a vista of rolling fields of crops and hay in the distance. Plants and flowers abound and so do the butterflies and hummingbirds, which love to visit the many feeders around the farm. Guests are encouraged to take a stroll and view the gardens, or shop for bedding plants, produce, etc. Guests who wish to create a truly special evening can do so with an after dinner hayride and romantic bonfire for two. Coffee & dessert can be served at the bonfire sites.
Bonfires are also a great idea for parties of any size, who want to end the evening on a casual, relaxing note. (Hayride and private bonfires may be reserved for $20 per couple or $12 per person.)
The restaurant is open May through August. Dinner service begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights only. Reservations are required. Early and late seatings available. July and August hours may change due to temperature.
Lunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Reservations are required. Lunchtime also offers lots of additional activities. There is always shopping for great farm-fresh produce, plants, jams, baked goods, etc. Pick-your-own crops are sometimes available. Guests are encouraged to bring their children during lunchtime to play in our entertainment area with bounce house, tour the gardens, and just have a relaxing day at the farm. Groups of 10 or more can be accommodated on additional days for lunch.
